Description: Mercy is a young woman, and single mother of one 4 year old boy. She has short red-brown hair, olive skin, and light green eyes.

Brief History: Mercy was raised in a military family, with both her parents sometimes serving simultaneously on different assignments. She attended a private school until she was 17 when she became a cadet (in 1991). One year later, Mercy ran away and eloped with a young soldier and was subsequently disowned. Mercy became pregnant in 1993. Shortly thereafter her husband vanished. Mercy never returned home and  still wears her wedding band.

On April 13th 1993, Mercy gave birth to her son Charles "Charlie" Jasper Danbrook.

Thereafter, Mercy sought one job after another with no long-term success in her effort to provide a life for herself and young son. In 1995, Mercy met the Werewolf Hunter, Douglas Hampshire, at a carnival faire where she was temporarily employed. He took an interest in her sharp eye and non-verbal son and introduced her to Harvey's hunters.  The hunters, having a need for Mercy's military skill and seeing no objection to her service status, offered Mercy a job that would pay the bills. She entered a relationship with Douglas Hampshire and was trained by the werewolf hunters, participating in their sometimes illegal animal trade.

On May 16th 1997, Mercy saw a werewolf for the first time when Harvey's hunting party was commissioned to catch Calagathorm pack member Jaqueline Ryder on the pack's home territory. Mercy and the hunters were waiting outside Reknab Bend to meet their commissioner - Jackie's estranged adopted sister, Melinda Channing, - when the Calagathorm werewolf pack ambushed the hunting party. Mercy was dragged off into a field behind Harvey's hunting garage by Timothy, a member of the Calagathorm pack, who severely wounded her leg in the process. She was rescued by Douglas Hampshire, only to be secretly taken to his cabin in the woods. There, she briefly became a clinical test subject for Douglas before making her escape. She spent the next three months in hiding with her son Charlie on Phantom Mountain, where she was later discovered by the same two werewolves who she helped capture on May 16th.

Present in Role Play:
Mercy first appeared as a side character in role play 6 "Echoes from the Past", wherein she is introduced as a member of Harvey's Werewolf Hunters. She likewise made an appearance in role play 7 "Where Phantoms Reside", just moments before she is attacked by Timothy in the fields of Reknab Bend. Mercy later makes an unexpected appearance in role play 10 "The Song of the Mountain, part 2" where she is encountered by Calagathorm werewolves Jackie and Ulric. Mercy is subsequently mentioned in role plays 12 "The Day After the Storm" and 13-2 "Many Decisions: Secrets" prior to her rescue by Officer Chapman in role play 14.2 "The Way of the Trusted" and recovery in the character thread "Sunflowers and Moonmonsters". As a result of her encounter with Ulric, Mercy is now a werewolf.
