Predictable. Saber's actions were typical of a new were, yet without heart--or energy, Sabrina thought. She yanked her limb out of his reach and planted a sharp strike into the back of his neck, then his shoulder blade, then spine. The latter two hits were calculated to nerves that would temporarily immobilize him. The first was to impair his emotional perception, but not render him entirely unconscious. He'd had enough of that, for one night.

As his body hit the floor like a sack of flour, Sabrina thought it prudent to move him to some place more... contained. Out of the way. Kate's humble abode did not brag of much space, yet there was a bedroom upstairs that was quiet, dark, and easily defensible. Without looking to see Toby's response to what had just occurred, she hefted the young werewolf over her shoulder and proceeded to the upstairs room.
